ASOS.com Launches the Green Room Dedicated to Social Awareness Shopping

The UK’s largest independent online fashion and beauty retailer, ASOS.com has officially launched the Green Room. The Green Room is a dedicated destination on the ASOS.com site to support social and environmental awareness for conscientious shoppers. Featuring ASOS Africa, ASOS.com own fair trade label, a collection of clothing and accessories designed, sourced and produced in collaboration with several small communities in Africa. The site will be populated with a virtual Who’s Who list of top eco brands ranging the spectrum of shoes, clothing, accessories and beauty products. By accessing The Green Room, shoppers can follow the journey of their eco friendly products and read stories from the real people behind the brands.

In the Women’s Eco Shoe category, Beyond Skin, Terra Plana, Vivienne Westwood for Melissa, and Swedish Hasbeens (pictured) are brands slated to be offered. ASOS.com is ethical shopping at its best!

Nine West launches Vintage America Collection with Soles4Soles Shoe Drive

In the spirit of giving back fashionably, Nine West is launching its Vintage America Collection and sponsoring a shoe drive to benefit Soles4Souls. Starting September 9-24 shoppers will receive a 15% off coupon for a pair of new heels retailing for $75 or more.

Nashville-based Soles4Souls(TM) facilitates the donations of both new and used shoes, which are used to aid the hurting worldwide. Soles4Souls has distributed more than 5 million pairs (currently donating one pair every 13 seconds) to people in over 125 countries, including Honduras, Uganda, Romania, and the United States.

And also in the spirit of being eco friendly, this shoe drive a great way to recycle shoes to benefit others. If you’re like me, with an extensive shoe collection, you have at least a couple pair of gently worn shoes that would greatly benefit Soles4Souls.
